随着新课标的实施,英语教学不再是单纯地传授英语基础知识,而是把重点放在培养学生“为交际初步运用英语的能力”上,要获得这种方法,就要对学生进行听、说、读、写训练,而这四个方面的技能是相辅相成、相互促进的。根据初中生的年龄特点,起始阶段的教学要侧重听、说能力的训练。因为语言的形成是先有声音,后有文字。所以学习语言也应该遵循这一规律。   听说之间,听是说的前提、基础。只有听清了,听懂了,才能学着说;只有听准了,才能说得对。“说”反过来又有助于听。训练学生的听说能力,是学好英语的基础。那么如何训练学生的听、说能力呢?   一、注重师生情感,激发学生的听说兴趣   要密切师生关系,培植师生情感,必须达到师生间的双向理解,沟通师生情感。为此,在教学过程中教师要帮助学生克服困难,指导方法。只有让他们学有兴趣,才会积极开动脑筋,认真思考,并以最有效的方法获取这些知识,英语学习更是如此。当学生第一次听到“Hello!What’s your name?”时,他们会兴趣盎然。教师开始教字母、语音就应该让他们多听、多说来提高他们的兴趣,培养听、说习惯。如用英语进行介绍、问候时等。通过听说训练,让学生不断观察和模仿,在以后的学习过程中,学会用地道的英语语音、语调。   二、教师尽量用英语组织教学   学生对英语有了兴趣,便乐意开口讲英语,且模仿能力强。教师在课堂教学中应遵循大纲“尽量使用英语组织教学”。这不仅为学生创造了一个听的语言环境,还能增加学生听说的机会,集中他们的注意力。在用英语组织教学时,教师可以从易到难,由浅到深,并借助面部表情和神态,循序渐进地加强听说训练,不断提高学生的语言领悟能力和听说能力。   三、利用电教手段,培养听说能力   在教学课文和对话之前,教师应先介绍情景,接着提出几个与课文内容相关的问题,让学生带着这些问题有目的地去听课文录音,听后,口头回答,然后跟着模仿地道语音、语调进行集体或分角色朗读。与课文配套的“听力训练带”,为学生提供了较好的听力材料。教师可用该听力带对学生实行以“听”为侧重点的听说测试。   四、坚持课前五分钟的“轮流执教”活动   教师应该充分相信学生的能力,满足他们旺盛的表达欲望,   让学生“轮流执教”组织课前五分钟的英语课堂活动。活动内容可安排英文歌、英语小对话,猜谜游戏等;执教的学生可用英语向全班提问,也可快速回答来自本班不同方面的问题;还可以用英语谈论家庭、学校、朋友等情况。   五、开展丰富多彩的课外活动   课外活动是训练学生听说能力的好机会。教师应采取多种形式开展听说训练,可组织“英语兴趣小组”学唱英文歌,师生相互对话,也可讲简单的英语小故事或进行猜谜活动。这些活动的开展,可以强化和提高学生听说能力,既能激发学生的学习兴趣,又浓厚了学校的英语气氛。   实践证明,听说能力的提高不仅促进了学生学习英语的兴   趣,更重要的是给学生英语“四会”开辟捷径,学生的读、写水平也随之得到相应的提高,他们可以快速阅读,也可以进行书面表达,交流信息,这样,学生学习英语的智力和能力都得到了较好的   发展。   (作者单位 安徽省望江县太慈中学)   誗编辑 王振德

英语写作是每年中考必考的题型,是检测学生对英语的认识水平和英语表达能力的综合体现。英语写作是探索用书面语言完成思想表达的一门艺术,它是英语语言学习的高级阶段,是语言的输出阶段。英语写作能力是指用书面英语表达思想的能力,是人们用英语表达思想的过程,在这个过程中,学生从长期记忆的仓库中撷取思想和语言材料并按一定的目的和规则把材料组织成英语文章。其中会遇到很多问题,因此英语写作又是一个用英语发现、分析和解决问题的过程,即英语写作能力。英语写作能力主要包括两种能力:一是用词造句、布局谋篇的能力,即英语表达能力;二是观察事物、分析事物的能力,即认识能力。如何提高学生的英语写作能力,本文从初中英语基础训练着手来谈提高学生英语写作能力。   一、加强语言、词汇和语法基础知识的训练   词汇和语言形式是进行语言交际的基础,在教学中要加强语言、词汇和语法基础知识的教学和基本技能的训练,同时,词汇和语法教学要尽量同有目的的语言运用相联系,注重培养语言技能,发展运用英语进行交际的能力。要进行听、说、读、写的综合训练,侧重培养阅读能力。听、说、读、写是相辅相成的,听是理解和吸收口头信息的手段,读是理解和吸收书面信息的手段,说是口头信息的表达,写是综合能力的体现。从七年级开始加强词汇和句子训练:词汇是文章的基础,没有一定的词汇量就很难写出好文章。同时,词汇选择是否准确、贴切,对于文章是否能收到预期的效果至关重要。因此,一定要突破词汇关,在词汇教学中我反反复复进行朗读,背诵,听写操练,加大单词的对比教学,有意识地介绍英语同义词让学生掌握。以旧带新,扩大词汇量,重视常用词汇、词组和句型的基础训练,例如:在学love 这一单词时,顺便复习like这个单词,学eat breakfast复习have breakfast等等。让学生过好词汇关,丰富词汇量。加强句型训练,句子是文章中表达思想的最基本单位,抓好句子的训练是写好文章的关键,故从七年级学习句子开始,就要求学生背诵句子,如:My name is——. I am——. My telephone number is——. I have——. I like——.等学生背有一定量的句子了,我就叫学生一个一个上讲台进行自我介绍,然后改用第三人称介绍自己的同学或朋友。先口头表达,然后书面表达写在作业本上。到了八年级,每上完一个单元,一个话题的内容,就用一节课作为活动课,让学生就这个话题进行口头表达和书面表达训练。还要教会学生在交际中,同一意思可选用不同的句式表达。所以我们要加强句型练习、造句练习。造句练习可以和词汇教学、句型教学以及语法教学相结合,还可用连词成句的形式或用译句、仿写句子等其他诸多练习形式使学生学会用多种手法、句式表达同一意思,使写出的文章生动活泼。一句多译能开拓思路,即训练学生的综合运用知识的能力,又能为以后的书面表达积累丰富的词汇和语言材料。平时的写作训练同样重要,教材中有很多写作训练,教师每上完一个单元,可让学生在课余时间对本单元的书面表达进行写作训练,进一步提高写作水平。学生经过七、八、九年级,三年的训练,书面表达已经不成问题了。   二、注意训练学生对中英文表达的不同   有些学生在英语写作中表达方式不遵从英语的表达或思维习惯,而按照中国人的表达方式或思维方式强行组成词句,在写作中出现大量的“中文式英语”, 注意引导学生相互批改英语写作。学生自己发现错误,改正错误,加深记忆。写作中正确运用英语时态,词组,句型的习惯用法。每次写作文,教师把有代表性错误的学生的范文写在黑板上。让学生自己改,这样的效果更好。如: 七年级有一篇作文“My day”,有学生这样写:I every day in the morning at 6:00 get up. Then I run. I eat breakfast. After that I walk to school. In the morning I have four classes. In the afternoon I have three classes. I very like Chinese and P.E. I don’t like English and math. I at 5:00 go home. Then I play basketball. I have a very healthy body. I at 7:00 have supper. Then I do my homework. I use an hour to do my homework. Until 9:00 I go to bed. 我先叫学生读一遍范文,看看错在哪里,该如何改,然后叫两个学生到黑板上改。学生自己发现错误,自己改正错误,比老师给学生改正错误更有效,老师根据实际作适当指导。学生写的每一次英语作文,教师抽查一部分进行批改了解情况,其余的由学生相互批改,相互发现错误,改正错误。在教学中,除了要求学生背诵句型外,还要求学生注意一些英语特殊句型的表达方式,时间,地点的表达以及所放的位置,如:1. There be——. 2. It takes sb some time to do sth. 3. Find it easy/difficult to do sth. 4. Not --- until---. 等等句型的表达习惯。   三、加强语篇衔接训练   如何才能使一篇文章如行云流水般通畅、自然呢?关键是在于正确运用英语衔接方法。这些结构词犹如点缀在大地上的一座座桥梁,把语篇贯穿起来,使全文形成一个完善的整体。可见,一篇文章语意连贯、符合逻辑,离不开一定的语篇衔接手段。可以教会学生为了避免行文漫无目标,保持段落的整体统一,以有效地表达思想,可以考虑给段落设立主题句来统帅全文内容,给文章列出提纲。 除此以外,还有很多方法可以帮助学生加强英语基础训练。   总之,写作是一个如何寻找最有效的语言进行思想感情交流的过程,是一个循环复杂的心理认知过程、思维创造过程。尤其用英语写作,更具有挑战性。它不仅能巩固已学的语言知识,也是一种重要的交际手段。写作能有效促进语言知识的内在化,写作能力的表现是多方面的,对写作能力的训练亦应采取不同的题型和不同的形式。这就要求教师在教学过程中尽可能采用多种教学方法和策略,尤其要注重学生基础训练。
